ASESA thoroughly enjoyed feeding in to the recent HSE summit, which had the heady task of prioritising critical research areas which are aimed at ensuring the best decisions to prevent exposure to asbestos from materials remaining in buildings in Great Britain.
A range of speakers helped set the scene, from a cross section of stakeholders including the HSE & NHS, colleagues from across Europe and of course the Rt Hon. Sir Stephen Timms MP.
Graham Warren, ASESA Chief Executive represented ASESA members during the event, proactively feeding in to the debates around this crucial topic. Graham told us “It was a real privilege to be able to help shape the future of Asbestos removal & management in Great Britain, alongside some really knowledgeable professionals from across the Asbestos industry”.
And whilst research may sound far removed from the day to day site activity removing Asbestos from buildings around GB, it is likely this work will need input from people like you, with ASESA and others providing valuable support and input into a range of initiatives.
Full detail around the event and findings will be shared during the current round of ASESA regional meetings, which were timed to immediately follow this pinnacle event.
